2019 Del Brown Permit Tournament Standings

Day 3 – Final Day

The final day of fishing was a game changer for Alejandro Vega Cruz, most know him as “Sandflea” from Holbox, Mexico. He and Capt. Will Benson found themselves with a few larger permit to score, one measuring 32.25″ to the fork. The scoring system in the Del Brown brackets inches into points categories. The larger fish put them in the “red” zone, meaning they scored 200 points for this fish, putting them ahead of Jose Ucan of Punta Allen, MX and Capt. Justin Rea by just 50 points.

There were 4 other permit caught on the final day including one by Scott Harkins of Steamboat Springs, CO that measured 30 inches to the fork. He was fishing with Capt. Kris Suplee. Other permit landed yesterday were from Nathaniel Linville and Capt. John O’Hearn, Ivar Bolander and Capt. Steve Friedman and the first runner-up team of Jose Ucan and Capt. Justin Rea.
